Our UnderwriteMe Singapore team recently had the opportunity to give back to the local community and volunteer as smartphone trainers with the community focussed charity, TOUCH Community Services (TCS).

TCS are bridging the digital divide and working to empower senior residents with the information they need to use their smartphone and essential applications. This is especially important as COVID-19 has changed the way we navigate the world with more services taking place online.

With technology being part of what we do, the experience of working with TCS was extremely rewarding. It provided a valuable chance to understand how people use apps like WhatsApp, and the difference accessibility and features like dictation can help make. Seniors often found using Chinese dictation much simpler than using the small on-screen keyboard.
